At Huliot Group, we share a bigger picture vision where environmental and social values shape the way we run our business, and create opportunities for innovation and growth, throughout the year and across all of our subsidiaries. Under environmental responsibility we work to gain Green Labels and Environmental Product declarations for our products, and run a cross-company green transformation Huliot Going Green. Social involvement includes sharing knowledge with professional and educational communities, giving back by supporting non-profit organizations, and helping out partners in times of need, and measuring ourselves against the UN’s 17 Social Development Goals through a wide range of KPIs.
Environmental responsibility
Huliot Going Green program
In the past decade, Huliot Group has transformed into a green company, with the implementation of a rigorous Huliot Going Green program which focuses efforts on protecting the environment throughout our entire supply chain. Designed to minimize our carbon footprint across the group while creating economic value, the program has led us to transition to a more effective and less wasteful production strategy, and opened us up to new opportunities as resellers of residual materials.
Huliot Going Green principles
Green Label
Systems including Ultra Silent, Ultra Beton, Ultra SWG, Smartlock, HT Pro, Nano Silent, and injected chambers have been awarded a Green Label from the Standards Institution of Israel’s, a member of the Global Ecolabeling Network (GEN), and equivalent to the European standard. |
Competitive Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)
EPDs which have become an important purchase parameter in many companies, are another testament to Huliot Group’s commitment to the environment. EPD is a report which provides information on a product’s impact on the environment, from manufacturing to delivery, including its impact on global warming, smog creation, ozone depletion and water pollution.
Social involvement
Huliot Group’s social code is based on seeing ourselves as part of the communities we live among, and giving back to them through corporate action.
Promoting sustainability practices
One of the guiding principles of Huliot Going Green is sharing our experience and knowledge with the educational and business communities: at academic institutions, professional conferences, and through other speaking opportunities. We open the doors to anyone seeking to learn from our experience, and welcome collaboration opportunities that advance environmental responsibility.
Educational programs at schools
At schools, we create and lead projects in collaboration with the staff, to instill environmental responsibility through action in the young generation. We bring waste and packaging materials to schools, and together with the students build anything from a shade canape, benches and picnic tables, a hydrophobic vegetable garden, the start of a forest, or crafts to sell in the local market.
Supporting non-profit organizations
Our community involvement is also expressed through our support in local non-profit organizations, especially those focused on providing equal opportunities for children and adults with special needs.
Supporting our partners in their time of need
We strive to advance the communities where we live and work among by sharing the responsibility to take action in times of need. Examples include planting trees to reverse ecological damage from a fire incident in one of our factories, donating product kits to our contractor partners to rebuild their communities, and providing our customers a marketing platform to promote their businesses during challenging times.
Environmental Social Governance (ESG) KPIs
Huliot embraces ESG by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess our organization’s overall performance on environmental, social, and governance topics based on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The main US SDGs that are impacted by the company’s activities are:
